Glaciers are melting, monsoon patterns are becoming harder to predict, and food security is already under strain for millions of people. These aren&#8217;t distant statistics. They show up in the air we breathe and the water we drink today.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But there&#8217;s a reason to be hopeful, and it starts with us. Cutting down on single-use plastic, saving electricity, using public transport, planting native trees, even just talking to our families about these habits\u00a0 none of it feels huge on its own, but together it adds up fast. We&#8217;re not only the future of this planet. We&#8217;re already its caretakers, right now.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So let&#8217;s use this World Environment Day to actually change something, even one small habit, because a better future isn&#8217;t built in a single grand gesture, it&#8217;s built one decision at a time. We&#8217;re arguably the most environmentally informed generation in history, and at the same time, we&#8217;re watching biodiversity collapse, oceans acidify, and weather patterns turn unpredictable at a pace that outstrips almost every past prediction.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What I&#8217;d push back on is the idea that this is only an &#8220;environmental science&#8221; concern. Whether you&#8217;re heading into engineering, economics, design, or the arts, sustainable thinking will follow you\u00a0 in how products get designed, how policy gets written, how consumers are persuaded to change habits.
