How to Expand Hints into a Story: A Step-by-Step Method for Class 6

50 Million in Numbers: Digits, Zeros, Words, Lakhs & Crores Explained With Place Value Chart

Someone once sent me a draft press release with “50 million” typed out as 500,000,000 instead of 50,000,000. One stray extra zero, and the number instantly ballooned to ten times what was actually meant. Nobody caught it before it went to print, either, which tells you something about how sneaky this mistake really is, especially with a round number like 50 million where a stray zero just doesn’t jump out at a quick glance.

So, straight answer first, no preamble. 50 million in numbers is 50,000,000. A 5, a 0, then six more zeros trailing after. Seven total. Here’s the full breakdown: digit count, how to say it in words, the complete Indian lakh and crore conversion, and a place value chart that makes the whole thing click visually.

    What Is a Tense?

A tense tells us when something happens. Verbs (action words) change their form to show time.

    There are three main tenses:

    • Present: it is happening now or happens regularly. I eat an apple.
    • Past: it already happened. I ate an apple.
    • Future: it will happen later. I will eat an apple.

In Class 3, children mostly learn the simple present and simple past. The simple future is often introduced lightly. We cover all three below, so this page also works as a base for worksheets on past present future tense for class 3.
